CEO Spotlight: Dr. Adriene “Lexy” Davis
Entrepreneurial training at IDC is shaped by the leadership of Dr. Adriene “Lexy” Davis, a seasoned higher education and workforce development executive with deep roots in small business support and entrepreneurship education.
Dr. Davis previously served as Director of the El Camino College Small Business Development Center (SBDC), where she led award-winning efforts to support small business owners through technical assistance, advising, and entrepreneurship education.
During her tenure at Los Angeles City College, Dr. Davis simultaneously oversaw the College’s Entrepreneurship Program and played a leadership role in implementing and delivering the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program, which was hosted at the Los Angeles City College Van de Kamp site. In this dual role, she ensured entrepreneurs received rigorous, growth-focused business education in partnership with Babson College, while also supervising curriculum delivery, faculty coordination, and adult education pathways that emphasized practical, accessible business learning.
Today, as CEO of Intermediary Development Corporation, Dr. Davis brings this integrated experience into the design of entrepreneurial training models that are practical, inclusive, and aligned with real economic opportunity, supporting entrepreneurs across diverse communities and systems.
